Rimini is known as the capital of tourism, thanks to its beautiful beaches and nightlife.
This beautiful city, however, deserves to be visited thanks to the presence of numerous historical sites: Rimini (an ancient Roman colony once called Ariminum) has an important past, in different periods of time.
Since Roman times, our city has played an important role due to its strategic location.
The Roman ruins, medieval fortresses, the eighteenth-century palaces, churches full of important paintings and statues, monuments to the fallen in two world wars ... all this tells the story of Rimini.

ARCO D'AUGUSTO AUGUST ARC. Ancient Roman gate, built in 27 B.C.
PONTE DI TIBERIO
TIBERIUS BRIDGE. It was started in 14 A.D. under the Augustus empire and completed in 21 A.D. under Tiberius.

ANFITEATRO ROMANO
ROMAN AMPHITHEATRE. It was built in the second century AD.

MONUMENT POPE PAUL V. It was inaugurated in 1614.

CASTEL SISMONDO
SIGISMUND CASTLE. The construction began in 1437 and ended 15 years later.

FONTANA dei 4 CAVALLI ( p.zzale Fellini) 4 HORSES FOUNTAIN. Opened on June the 29th, 1928.
FONTANA della PIGNA ( p.zza Cavour) PINE CONE FOUNTAIN. It was built in 1543.
